Manual is a graphic design and branding consultancy based in San Francisco.
The work they produce is clean cut and fashionable. The examples I have chosen to showcase are for 'Slice' and 'Apple'.
This work for Slice consists of a new brand identity to illustrate their products. The new brand would be applied across the packaging, print literature and exhibition graphics. Although it is simple, it is certainly effective in its message and its execution.
The accompanying literature add to what is a strong and memorable identity. I particular like the vector illustrations on the front cover which is enhanced by the colour.
The work for Apple consisted of a poster to celebrate 10 years of the Apple online store, featuring 3,650 cursor icons to represent every day the store had been live.
It's not my favourite aesthetically but I find it conceptually intriguing.
This is the brand identity and the launch site created for Hitpost, a sports / social networking site.
The custom typeface makes for an original and impactful logo which was then applied across print and screen.
On a side note, this is a good way of showcasing website deisgns which I will keep in mind.
This project for Mike & Maaike was the subject of another rebrand and a custom font was made that features in the logo.
I love the colour combinations alongside the cardboard stock.
