Matt Keers, the UK-based designer responsible for the above design, has a portfolio full of the same: bold, colorful, and compelling. His work takes on a variety of design disciplines, the only common element seems to be his use of colour.
I particularly like the work his agency did for 3 Beat Records. This was a branding brief and could easily transfer from print to web application.
The branding was rolled out across a variety of formats and shows how the project can be opened up to fulfil the brief fully, and as a signal of what can be done from one idea.
This branding for Chas Smith & Sons a shopfitting company established in 1914, is an example of a modern logo with classic elements to retain quality. The logo takes inspiration from structural blueprint layouts and grid patterns. The grid system is something that I would think about applying as part of design aesthetic but it certainly works in this instance.
